IOOF HOME MEMORY CARE

The IOOF Home offers two specialized Memory Care units. One unit provides a smaller homelike secure environment for ambulatory residents. The other memory care unit provides a quieter environment for those who also need assistive devices such as wheelchairs and walkers.

The two Memory Care units allow us to continue providing appropriate care for residents with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, as their needs change. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities of the Memory Care units were designed to accommodate the special needs of our residents. Visitors are always welcome within the IOOF Home & Community Therapy Center.

Music Anyone?

Musical activities are an integral part of life for persons with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Residents actively participate in sing-a-longs, dancing, and playing rhythm instruments. Visiting bands also recreate that feeling of an evening out on the town. A good time is had by all.

Outdoor Activites

Residents participate in many outdoor activities in our secured court yard. The court yard provides paved walk ways for strolls through the garden. Along the way, there are two raised garden beds so residents can actively participate in gardening. The gazebo offers an ideal location for picnics, sing-a-longs, and devotions.

Culinary Arts

Making homemade favorites has included everything from cookie baking to butter making. Setting a nice table also adds that special touch.
